TAARE ZAMMEN PAR............

TAAARE ZAMEEN PAR - Did it leave a sweet or sour taste...........or did it tinkle your senses...........or did it make you introspective?

Was it just about a special child? Or was it to do with undying and stressful ambitions of parents to see their child a topper in the rat race? Or is it a new perspective for all parents & would-be's?

Have we ever thought what we mean by parental guidance ultimately turns out to be a forceful extension of our unfulfilled dreams and ambitions which the children are supposed to fulfill in their lifetime?

Where is the individual child with his dreams and fantasies - his world? He gets lost very soon in the mark sheets, rankings, awards and certificates.

So do we give birth to our next generation just to see the extension of ourselves - how mean, tortorous and selfish idea can that be!!!

Let a child take the world as it comes to him in his own ways and thoughts. Let him dream and make his own world - hear him, observe him, extend your hand to make his dream world a beautiful place to live-in for him; its not for you.

''Every child is special'' - very rightfully conveyed in the movie and it is not about learning difficulties or motor neuron disease in a child - it is all about peeping into their own world which they create painstakingly with the beauties of the world.

Lets unite to protect their dream bubble and nurture them in their peace and beauty.

Yes, claps to you. Also, applause for the TZP team who made this movie. Such a wonderful piece.

The film also challenges the educational system. We are humans with the power to imagine and create things out of the ordinary. Let us all think about it a little.

It seems you have seen the movie with your heart and bothered to think about the reasons and hence could raise these questions. But I'm sure there are many parents who have seen this movie just as a time pass and they would never ever bother to spare a minute to think about the great lesson TZP has taught us.Thanks to you for bringing out the urge to protect and nurture these 'dream bubble' so beautifully.

The best thing about the write-up was the flow...I could sense the thoughts flowing through your mind and heart as I glided through the words. I think thats what makes, reading your lines, a treat for the mind...always. Keep writing more of these dear...you rock! :)

You also seem to have mastered the art of parenting! In your endeavour against the tyranny of modern parenting, can Orko seek a place of guidance? I will more than gladly see him bloom.

Now jokes apart, it is far from as easy as you make it sound, my friend! It is very easy to rebuke parents, educational system etc etc. Take up the responsibility of bringing up a child and you too will soon find yourself persuading the kid to finish his/her home-work before they can play / sketch/ sing... or do things they like. After all, for YOU too 'success' means working for brands (Microsoft, Google...) owning a big car ( Marcedes-Benz , BMW...) and earning the big buck. Sadly, that is what most of the world (parents no exception) also call success, and tries to ensure the child grows up to have it all. DO you think you will actually have the strength to let a child be on his/ her own, overcoming the inhibitions of them 'NOT' being 'successful'? Rather .. let them be happy more than being ('successful' in the social sense of the term), which will not get them the big car or the comfortable life you have? And here, please dont presume that the child will be remarkably talented, because though each child is special ( as is every individual) not all are as gifted and rank as just ordinary. It is not necessarily about forcing children to fulfill your ambitions, it is accepting them as they are and trying to encourage them in what they like to do.'

Not everybody can be Rabindranath Tagore, - dream of and actually build an alternate system of learning and write of 'where the mind is without fear and head is held high, where knowledge is free....."

Lets not pretend being so tall, for 'all in all, you're just another brick in the wall'

As for the film, no doubt it is a nice one. Better still that Amir Khan chose this over his sticky nationalist / patriotic melodramas like Mangal Pandey, Rang de Basanti or worse still Laagan. Well presented and simple film on a very pertinent issue.

and yes.. loking forward to getting more tips on parenting from you :-)
